clarkdellis asked:
If one tears an ACL in a yard of a homeowner, which was invited as a party, are they liable? For loss income, damage, medical etc?

It depends on how the ACL was torn. If you were invited to my house and we agreed to play football in the yard and that is how you were injured, then I would not be liable because of assumption of risk when you agreed to play the game you took the assumption that you could get hurt.
On the other hand, if you tripped over something in the yard that the homeowner knew about and did not mention, then they would bear liability. However if this happened while you were intoxicated, then the liability would be shared. The homeowner would be found liable as well as you.
Insurance companies reimburse medical expenses and lost income (if documented in medical records) for any injury caused by the negligence of their insured.
File a claim, it will be investigated to see if the homeowner was liable.
